A vast range of educational material uploaded by teachers in Flanders would benefit from semi-automatic labeling to make the website Klascement.net more user-friendly. At the heart: a self learning engine that is retrained every day, and a recommender engine.
Klascement.net is a popular website among teachers and educators in Flanders, where they upload educational materials for the community to download, share, and reuse. However, the vast amount of content make is difficult to curate the vast amount of content that is submitted daily.
To tackle this, we created a smart system using machine learning to organize the large volume of teaching materials effectively. Our system learns from past data to label documents accurately, updating itself daily for the best results. We also implemented a recommendation system, tailoring content suggestions based on users’ browsing habits to enhance their experience on the site.
This project is making it easier for teachers to find and use educational materials. By improving how resources are labeled and suggested, educators can spend less time searching and more time teaching. Our work is helping to create a more user-friendly environment on Klascement.net, benefiting the entire community.
